Services

Software, IoT and hardware engineering, and AI.

A small senior team that can design the device, write the software and build in the AI. We work with government agencies, infrastructure operators, start-ups and established businesses.

01 / Software engineering

Software engineering

Custom software that fits how your business works. We build robust platforms for sensor integration, data transformation and AI, and we look after them once they are live.

  • Business analysis and solution design
We map the problem, the data and the systems first, so the build solves the right thing.
  • Custom web and mobile applications
Web, iOS and Android applications, built and maintained by our own developers.
  • Real-time data, dashboards and alerts
Collecting data from field devices and turning it into dashboards and alerts people can act on.
  • Integration with your systems
Connecting new software and sensors to the systems you already run.
  • Data transformation and reporting
Bringing data from many devices and systems into one database, cleaned and ready for analysis and reports.
  • Testing, support and maintenance
Formal testing before release, then support and maintenance on terms we agree with you.
02 / IoT and hardware engineering

IoT and hardware engineering

From prototype to production. We design, develop and deploy sensor systems that gather the data you need, and we build the hardware ourselves when off-the-shelf parts will not do.

  • Sensor prototyping
Fast prototypes built from commercially available parts, such as Raspberry Pi, and open-source models.
  • Custom PCB and firmware
We designed our own gas-sensor array PCB, firmware and app for IntelliGut.
  • Connected devices
Connecting sensors and field devices to a central data platform.
  • Monitoring equipment and infrastructure
Sensor systems that keep watch on critical equipment, so problems are found early and maintenance can be planned.
03 / AI

AI

Practical AI that earns its place. We help you find where AI fits your business, then build it into the software and data you already have.

  • AI strategy
Working with you to find where AI can improve decisions and operations, and where it will not.
  • Roadmaps and workshops
A practical AI roadmap that matches your goals, workshops to find and test ideas, and a clear view of the risks before you commit.
  • Automating routine work
Taking repetitive, time-consuming tasks off your team so they can focus on higher-value work.
  • Predictive maintenance and analytics
Finding patterns in large volumes of sensor data to help plan maintenance.
  • Computer vision
Applying AI models such as YOLO and DeepSORT to video, including feeds from existing security cameras, to detect and count people and objects.
  • Modelling and decision tools
Models that test different scenarios before you decide, with an interface that non-specialists can use.
  • AI inside your software
Building machine learning models and language tools into your applications.
How a project starts

Start with what you already have.

Our work spans rail and transport, education and charities, and events and venues. Most projects start the same way.

01

Review what you have

We look at your existing systems, devices and data, and at how people use them, to see what they can already do.

02

Build or buy

We compare off-the-shelf products with a custom build and recommend the most cost-effective option.

03

Proposal, then prototype

A written proposal sets out the steps and the price. A prototype then proves the idea before it is scaled up.

Common questions

Questions we get asked.

Do you make your own sensors?

Yes. We offer a sensor prototyping service using commercially available parts and open-source models, built to a customer's needs. We also design our own custom boards and firmware.

Do you develop your own software?

Yes. Our senior developers are skilled in application development and AI and machine learning, and we bring in specialist contractors when a project needs them.

Do you provide ongoing support?

Yes. Depending on what you need, we provide a commercial support and maintenance service.

Industrial IoT

Sydney Trains

Sydney Trains operates the rail networks across Sydney. Jundra built and supports its CMO condition monitoring system, which brings data from trackside and train monitoring devices, such as bearing and brake temperature sensors, into one central dashboard.

The system sends automated alerts to maintenance staff when it detects faults, and its dashboard runs on one of the large screens in the Rail Operations Centre. Jundra has supported and developed the system for more than a decade.

The system also takes in data from devices such as angle-of-attack sensors, wheel impact load detectors and pantograph condition monitoring systems, and stores it in a central database for analysis and reporting.

Literacy software

The Smith Family

The Smith Family is an Australian charity focused on educational support. It uses the Chatty Kids literacy software to run Student2Student, its peer reading program, in which students read together in supervised online sessions.

Chatty Kids is built and managed by Jundra for Chatty Kids Pty Ltd, including maintenance, reporting and security work.
